I’ve loved Taylor Swift since “Tim McGraw” and after following her on Twitter, I have to say that I love her even more.

While my country music allegiances will always go with Carrie Underwood for overall fandom, Taylor Swift’s second album actually outsold Carrie Underwood’s and her straightforward songwriting and fun personality make her someone that’s hard not to love.

After giving a little preview on Twitter, Taylor Swift (T-Swizzle) teamed up with hip hop’s biggest singer of hooks, T-Pain, to deliver a “Thug Story” at the CMT Awards. It was nothing short of awesome.

YouTube star turned Justin Timberlake-label (Tennman) signee Esmee Denters released her first single last week entitled “Outta Here.” Like everyone else in the music business these days, they went a little heavy on the autotune and took away some of the natural sound that I personally think made Esmee so great.

Somehow, they also have managed to make her look like a completely different person in the past few months as well.

And of course, as a YouTube star, her video is embeddable. Check it out and see what you think!

It’s not bad, a little Euro-poppy, but a fun dance track. I have to say that I prefer the more natural sound that she had when singing “Unwritten” with Natasha Bedingfield or even how she sounded singing “Follow My Lead” at YouTube Live.

If you work in digital or social media, this Social Networking Wars video posted on Current.com has got to be one of the funniest (and cutest! Friendsterrrrrrrrrrr) videos that you’ll see today. The video puts a social network overloaded guy face to face with MySpace, Facebook, Friendster, and Second Life in a battle for his attention.
The nerd overload and stereotypes of each site are amazing.

By now, all of us know the Esmee Denters story – YouTube sensation turned signee to Justin Timberlake’s music label. While I can’t really explain why the song is Justin Timberlake featuring Esmee Denters, considering Esmee sings the majority of the song, the single “Follow My Lead” is pretty hot.

While some say that she sounds out of breath, I think she does a great job and looks incredible doing it. Who knew Esmee had those booty shakes in her?

However, does anyone else think it’s kind of weird that a video from YouTube Live has embed disabled? I think that’s kind of weird.

was held this weekend, where numerous YouTube stars got together in what felt like a celebration of some of the biggest viral videos that were birthed on the world’s biggest video site. One of my favorite performers on the night had to be some of the breaking crews from Planet B-Boy , a movie that my roommate Ryan absolutely loves.

Watch them perform at YouTube Live and see if you can somehow not get the chills when you see all these dancers from different countries coming together under one style and one roof.

I love declarative statements and titles by magazines. Why?

Because it seems like they’re always there to be a little controversial so that you’ll buy the magazine. With Esquire naming Halle Berry the “Sexiest Woman Alive” for 2008, I have to respectfully, yet strongly disagree.

There have been other controversial choices for silly lists like this – like Katherine Heigl being AskMen’s Most Desirable Woman of 2008, which I also disagreed with.

There have been lists that feel like they can be completely justified, like FHM’s Top 100 Sexiest Women – a list that was topped out Megan Fox (Top 10 included names like – Keeley Hazell, Elisha Cuthbert

, Hayden Panettiere, Scarlett Johansson, and other keepers).

But Halle Berry the “Sexiest Woman Alive?” Jesus, take the wheel, Esquire. I have to disagree!

Not that Berry is not beautiful because she is in every sense of the word. But there’s a big difference between “Beautiful” and “Sexy” and I think that Berry falls closer to the B than the S.

In a move of viral video genius, Weezer recruited a number of YouTube’s biggest names (Afro Ninja

Ferg of the Black Eyed Peas stopped by NBC’s Today Show to perform Heart’s classic “Barracuda.” In what is probably one of the most awkward and horrible performances that I’ve ever seen, a camera even catches a guy in the audience laughing at Fergie crawling around on stage, doing some mild self-fondlage, and singing horribly.

Let’s stick with “Don’t Phunk with my Heart,” Fergie Ferg.
