Want to dress like Lauren Conrad? ShopStyle can help! (if you can afford it)
In what I think is one of the coolest websites out there right now, regardless of the fact that I know very little about fashion, ShopStyle
has started making widgets of different celebrity outfits where you can actually shop for similar or more affordable versions of outfits that your favorite celebrities are wearing.
Since it’s a bit of a Lauren Conrad week in the news, I thought we’d use LC as an example to show off its features.
People say that TV is dying, but I think that TV is still our way of discovering new “stuff” – music, clothes, brands, and even just seeing what’s cool.
Are Blackberrys a lot cooler because we see the girls from The Hills and the people from Making the Band talking on them? Yes, they are. Are Chanel bags almost justifiably expensive because we see celebrities walking around with the matching sunglasses? Yes, they are.
To me, this is one of the coolest widgets out there right now because both ShopStyle and sister site CelebStyle are using celebrities that actually matter when it comes to fashion.
And of course, CelebStyle chose Lauren as well to show off their fashion know-how as well.
