Jessica Chobot Action Figure Nears Completion – IGN hottie to be immortalized in polystone

Jessica Chobot Action FigureSymbiote Studios recently announced that their Jessica Chobot statue is nearing completion. The host of IGN Weekly is now likely just weeks away from her being immortalized in synthetic materials before finding a home on my desk.

Like any good, long-awaited anything, the folks at Symbiote, who are really nice, posted a teaser photo to not only get fanboys like me excited about the product, but get us less anxious about wondering when our Chobotimus was going to arrive.

I’m really impressed with the detail of the figure so far, especially that XBox 360 game case at the base of the statue. The hair looks great, along with the detail on the bottom of the jeans and the hands. I can’t really tell if the statue is wearing shoes, or if she just looks like a skater from the early 2000’s wearing JNCO jeans in the pants department, but I think that’s largely irrelevant. Since it’s my first statue of this kind that I’ll ever own, I’m pretty excited about it.

Of course, the statue is going to live and die by the face and how well this anime version of the beloved IGN Baroness is going to translate to the $49.99 limited edition (250) polystone statue.

One way or another, I’m pre-ordered.

One way or another, I’m pretty sure that I’m going to love it because while it’s not a one of a kind item. I can almost guarantee that I’ll be the only kid on the block with a statue of one of my Facebook friends.

This got me to thinking about other non-superhero statues (not that Chobotimus Prime doesn’t count) that I would definitely buy if they were on the market. I would definitely drop $50 to decorate my desk/room on…

Jessica Chobot Anime- Carrie Underwood

- Ryan Seacrest

- The cast of The Hills

- Kim Kardashian (just because the proportions would be otherworldly)

– Rachel McAdams (v. Mean Girls)

- Tupac Shakur

- P. Diddy

- Jennifer Love Hewitt

- Glinda from Wicked (v. Megan Hilty)Princess Peach

– Princess Peach (I’m guessing this exists)

- Toad (I’m guessing this exists too)

- Giselle from Enchanted

And probably a handful of others.

Only problem is that I think I’d be one of the few, other than the Mario-world related ones, that would be financially irresponsible enough to buy such things.

Though if they were ever made as well as this Chobot figure appears to be, I would definitely make it happen via liquidating my 401k (which is getting its ass kicked right now, thanks to you, economy… You sad bastard.).

For now, we await the inanimate Jessica Chobot!

Here’s one of my favorite IGN videos, TGS 2007 – The Lost Footage, because of the funny jokes and the funny face that Jessica Chobot makes when you embed the video before pushing play.

Oh, Dave. Is that a tramp stamp on Chobot-doll’s upper butt? I hope the front turns out as dreamy as your $49.99 promises to be. Can’t wait to walk by your desk and see her posting with your various office supplies.
